While the NIV is quite readable already, the NIrV provides even greater readability by avoiding any difficult words and replacing them with basically definitions for the original words.
This is great for people who wish to have an easy time getting through each verse's meanings, but it's obviously not good for a word-for-word study. I personally use it in conjunction with another version like NIV, NASB, ESV, or HCSB. | | |  | Decent Sep 2, 2008 |

| While searching for a more comprehensible version of the Bible for my adult English language learners, I found the New International Readers Version.
