I think the "facts" are facetious but the truth behind them, according to what Chuck Norris writes about them, is entertaining as well!

Bought this for a son who does not like to read! He is reading it! I have read bits and pieces of it. If you love Chuck and all he believes in and stands for...you will love this book. I intend on reading the entire book..once my son is done!

Simply, this book is made up of all of the little "chuck norris" sayings that have made the internet over the years. Great bathroom reader

Okay so who doesn't like Chuck Norris? I mean he is an icon and honestly he makes me laugh! He is pretty much everywhere, and even when you haven't heard anything about him in awhile, he pops up right at you! Now I never watched him in Walker, Texas Ranger, but I have seen a few of his action films and he can really kick butt. I can even remember a commercial he was just in recently and I have seen t-shirts with some Chuck Norris phrases like "Chuck Norris doesn't need a weapon. He is one." Well if you have a Chuck Norris fan in your house or just want a good laugh, the book "The Official Chuck Norris Fact Book: 101 of Chuck's Favorite Facts and Stories" is a must buy! It is even written by the actual Chuck Norris! It is 305 pages of Chuck Norris filled facts, each broken down into an easy to read chapter that is only a few pages long. This book is especially great to pick up and read anytime, you don't have to read it straight through to enjoy it, although I did have a hard time putting it down! It is classified as a humor book and is the perfect size for carrying around or to give as a gift! Also, a share of the proceeds from the book with me donated to KickStart Kids, which is a youth program to get kids active and through Martial Arts with the help of values and philosophies. I was given this book to review. This review is 100% my opinion and has not been edited or reviewed by anyone. I was not compensated in any other way for this product review.

Chuck Norris "facts" have been going around the Internet for a number of years now. However, it wasn't until "The Official Chuck Norris Fact Book: 101 of Chuck's Favorite Facts and Stories" written by the actual Chuck Norris was published that we had Chuck Norris' favorites. The book is much more than just a collection of 101 quotes such as "When the going gets tough, the tough get Chuck Norris" and "The first rule of Chuck Norris : Follow his rules or eat his roundhouse kick." For each quote, or "fact," the book contains a short essay, a quote from someone else, and one of Chuck's Code, a short piece of advice such as "If I have nothing good to say about a person, then I will say nothing," or "Fighting for your family is a fight worth fighting." I thought this was a very fun little book to read, and a book that also contained some very practical and good advice regarding living. Anyone familiar with Norris knows that his faith and conservative values are extremely important to him, and they are the foundation for the principles he lives by. Naturally, his values and faith come into play as he writes about things important to him, his life, and the way he recommends people live. Therefore, if you do not like his political or faith based positions, you might not like this book. On the other hand, if you share these beliefs and enjoyed his Black Belt Patriotism," you undoubtedly would enjoy this book too. It does not go as deep into subjects as "Black Belt Patriotism" did, but there is still a list of references in the back. He does his research when he quotes things. And no, not every story in this book is political or faith based. Some are just fun stories of experiences. But they do have some kind of lesson behind them. I also like that a share of the proceeds from the book go to KICKSTART, the program that focuses on building strong moral character in our youth through martial arts. If you want to read some of the humorous "facts" about Chuck Norris and then be motivated by some stories and the actual code he lives by, get this book and have a fun quick read. Then every once in a while you can pick it up for a shot of "feel good" because that is what most of the stories do, help you feel better and remain focused on those things that are most important. I enjoyed the book and actually bought a number of copies to give to my students at Christmas. For those that like Chuck and his beliefs, you'll enjoy it too!
