I've always been searching for a bible version that would hold my interest. I wanted to read God's Word, but had difficulty focusing on the versions of King James. Then I discovered The Message...didn't quite do it for me; then on to NIV. NIV was easy enough to read, but when I saw this NLT bible with a soft PINK cover wrapped around it and saw how much easier it was to read, I knew this bible was meant for me!
I've run into many people who have reading "handicaps" as I do when it comes to the bible. I would definately recommend this NLT bible version to anyone who find it difficult to stay focused in reading the stories of the bible. If it doesn't hold your interest, you won't get anything out of it...obviously. And when it's in your favorite color, what more can you ask for?
I have been reading my bible every night since we got it just before Easter of 2010 and love it! I am now in the Word as my peers are! | I bought a Tyndale Study Bible (NLT) on this site a few weeks ago and absolutely love it, but it's a little bulky. So I decided to purchase a smaller bible to bring with me wherever I may go and I chose this one. It's perfect if you need a new bible for a purpose like mine, but I don't recommend it as your primary Bible. The binding isn't as terrible as people have made it seem, but in certain chapters, the words are a little close to the binding. Bending and working it a little takes care of the problem though.
