Excellent study resource for seasoned scholars or beginners. Brings you to grass root fundamentals of where America came from & why. Also why we must return to God who is that foundation.

If you are a stereotypical conservative or liberal, this book is pretty much exactly what you think it is from the title. The text of the NKJV is interleaved with various glossy inserts and in-line comments about the history of the United States and how, from the beginning, the Christian religion was woven into the founding documents and society at just about every level.
Some of the references can be interesting, e.g. each president's inauguration verse is noted as you come to it in the text. While it is convenient to have the notations directly in the bible, it seems the utility would only slightly be lessened by separating this into a separate bible study.
It is, however, as far as I can tell, completely non-critical, choosing to pick only supporting bullet-points for the culture-war's battle over the role of Christianity in government. I for one would have preferred to see an honest discussion of the positives and the negatives rather than the party-line listing of the various rhetoric used to whip christians into a frenzy.
But perhaps that is a better topic for a separate book. And perhaps interleaving the bible with rhetoric isn't the best idea in the first place.

If you want to know about the Founding Fathers beliefs and thoughts, don't read a book by someone who tells you what "they think" they believed. Read what the Founding Fathers said or wrote, and then you will know what they really thought. This book is full of quotes and writings of The Founding Fathers and after reading them, only a fool would say the United States was not founded as a Christian Nation and governed by the Word of God!
Buy this book for your children! This is better than any watered down (politically correct) U.S. history book they will read in any public (government) school or any college/university (center for liberal indoctrination).
The quotes by Ronald Reagan on the back cover are enough to make you want it. "Inside the Bibles pages lie the answers to the problems that mankind has ever known. I hope Americans will read and study the Bible. The Bible can touch our hearts, order our minds, and refresh our souls."

Between pages 1204 and 1205 "...not judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character" by Martin Luther King. They reference obama as fulfillment as "at least in part" of MLK's vision. This is correct because every bible believing Christian should know that the content of obamas character is anti-Christian from his abortion views, mockery of the Bible, and his advancement of the of the homosexual agenda. "You shall know them by their fruit."
The Right to Keep and Bear Arms (pg16) George Mason said: "What is the militia? It is the whole people. To disarm the people is the best and most effectual way to enslave them."
Whether we hold the same political and religious philosophy or not, you will like this book. Matthew 22:21 ESV ..."Therefore render to Caesar the things that are Caesar's, and to God the things that are God's."

The Holy Bible has been the guiding light for those who know the truth for centuries. The added information to show how the founding fathers and those who led/lead our country USED and TRUSTED what God said is interesting and comforting. I have purchased these for gifts to family members and to new refugee immigrants who want to make the United States their REAL home.
