Item description for Lucifer'S Flood (Reluctant Demon Diaries) by Linda Rios Brook...
Overview Fearful of the judgment that awaits the rebellious angels who sided with Lucifer, and finding no solace for his misery, a fallen angel pours his emotions into a written account that details the war in heaven and the biblical events that follow.
Publishers Description " "The sensation of falling was terrifying...we tumbled out of the realm of the heavenly light into perpetual darkness. We had not seen darkness before--not like this anyway..."" A strange man shows up at the office of language expert Samantha Yale with a mysterious scroll written in an even more mysterious language. As she begins to translate, she discovers an eyewitness account of the war in heaven from an angel who sided with Lucifer and then deeply regretted his decision. The tale is hard to believe...but impossible to ignore. Linda Rios Brook brings new depth of imagery into the spirit world and scholarship to the old debate, "What happened to the world between Genesis 1:1 and 1:2?" Part intriguing theological exploration, part swashbuckling adventure, " Lucifer's Flood" presents an equally fascinating and frightening tale of prehistoric heaven and Earth. |

Reviews - What do customers think about Lucifer'S Flood (Reluctant Demon Diaries)?
 | insightful and engaging Oct 1, 2008 |
| Lucifer's Flood tells the story of the fall of Satan and his followers and chronicles their involvement in the human race from Eden to the birth of Moses. At times it is humorous, at times reflective, and many of the passages left me pondering the author's words for hours. In the spirit of The Screwtape Letters, the demon narrator reveals truths about human nature. But it also offers very interesting ideas about the reasons for many of God's decisions, and for me, answered questions I had struggled with for ages. I would recommend this book whole-heartedly! | | | | A real page turner Sep 19, 2008 |
The book is an account of the events between Genesis to the start of Exodus in the Bible from the perspective of a fallen angel. The book is very funny at times and has many musings that make you wonder, "what if it happened that way?". Please remember this book is FICTION, but will definitely should stir some religious dialog among friends.

| Lucifer's Flood has many good points. It's an interesting take on Genesis. Problems arise, though, when the author writes that God probably wasn't sure how complicated human women could be (What about God's perfect knowledge?) since there were no women in Heaven, that everything there was male. Now, the Bible states that femaleness has always been part of God. I'm afraid this author has been deceived by some false teachings in her past. | | | | absolutely loved this book!!! Aug 23, 2008 |
| What a wonderful book and so very informative. You will love the characteristics she so intriguing portrays. I hope the sequal comes out very very soon!!! | | | | I Couldn't Put This Book Down - A Fascinating Read! Aug 7, 2008 |
| Lucifer's Flood is a mystical mystery wrapped in spiritual authenticity. Although the book is billed as fantasy, the characters are "fleshed out" as very real people in both believable and yet supernatural life situations. From the courts of heaven to the middle east and from the major capitals of the world to the lives of ordinary people, the reader is taken on an exhilarating wild ride of provocative questions and startling answers. Don't miss it. I highly recommend this book. | | | Write your own review about Lucifer'S Flood (Reluctant Demon Diaries)
