Item description for Personal Faith, Public Policy by Jackson, Harry R., Jr. & ...
Overview Harry Jackson and Tony Perkins believe that America stands at a crossroads. As a nation we must choose God's blessings or His destruction of our society. The "Religious Right," as it has been termed, often looks to the world as its enemy, and many Christians have seen themselves as combatants in war against anti-God forces. In Personal Faith, Public Policy, Jackson and Perkins take a radical new position, stating that the Christian church must lead morally and impact the culture with personal spiritual power and unified Christian public policy, demonstrating how a unified church can tackle each one of the seven major problems of our culture
Publishers Description Harry Jackson and Tony Perkins believe that America stands at a crossroads. As a nation we must choose God's blessings or His destruction of our society. In Personal Faith, Public Policy, Jackson and Perkins take a radical new position, stating that the Christian church must lead morally and impact the culture with personal spiritual power and unified Christian public policy, demonstrating how a unified church can tackle each one of the seven major problems of our culture. Achieving victories in each of the seven areas presented will result in vanquishing the big problem facing our country-moral decay. Show Less |

| Who would have thought that a Democrat and a Republic could see eye to eye in today's political feud. Well, this phenomenon occurs when Harry Jackson and Tony Perkins come together under the submission of God to give our nation a well needed wake-up call. Everyone has a part to play and "Personal Fath Public Policy" challenges each one of us to examine our faith and what we value as a people inorder to cleanse this nation of its sins. This is a text book for college students and a guide for those of us who want to save this country from itself. A must read! | | | | It Really Strikes Home Mar 20, 2008 |
| A powerfully written book that would prove unquestionably useful for every American household. Want answers to problems we're facing as a nation? Pick up this book and share it with a friend. You'll never reget reading this amazing prophetic insight - it will provide concise truths and offer hope for a better future, one filled with hope for our country. Do yourself and a friend a favor and get it today! | | | | Bipartisanship Can Exist! Mar 12, 2008 |
| This book is written by two men who come from very different backgrounds. One is a Republican the other a Democrat, but some how they have managed to do what the House and Senate have not been able to do for years, agree! Despite their different backgrounds both Jackson and Perkins present very clear and practical resolutions to seven issues that are before the heart of every person of faith: preserve and protect life; reform immigration; alleviate domestic poverty; cultivate racial harmony; protect religious freedom; defend marriage and family; and protect the environment. These men don't waste the readers time with political rhetoric, their book is not overwhelmed with scriptures from the Bible that leave the reader over powered, and their certainly is not a leaning towards the right or left; rather they presented the problems along with resolutions. In the end the reader is faced with the pivotal choice to administer change in our society. This book is instrumental for the life of every American and will effect and provoke our society to change if we choose to apply the resolutions presented before us. My fellow Americans, it is not the election of a President that is going to change our situation it is the understanding that America has always had a government of the people, by the people, and for the people. We the PEOPLE must be the orchestrators of change! Pick up your copy today and begin to initiate change for our country. | | | | Great Read For This Year's Election Mar 11, 2008 |
| Amazing---a black Harvard grad meets up with a white leader of a pro-famioy organization and voila...who would know they could not only agree on something but define positive ways to address the issues facing the U.S. today? This has just enough research and info to make it credible, but not boring and just enough scripture to give the issues framework, without making it totally opinionated. Evey voter should get a copy and pass it around their office! | | | Write your own review about Personal Faith, Public Policy
