| Terri Blackstock did an excellent job with this story. I was especially impressed with the way she developed her characters. They have an intensity that caused me identify with them and learn from them. Forgiveness and humility were two re-occurring themes that made this story quite worth ones time. The story line was also quite dramatic with plenty of intrigue, yet not too intense, to give one a thrill and a chill without overdoing it. I just finished True Light last night. I think Terri Blackstock does a wonderful job of keeping the suspense high throughout this book. The main protagonists in this sequel are Deni Branning and Mark Green. Things get ugly for Mark when he is suspected by the neighbors for attempted murder. And they continue to get worse. In the desperate times in Oak Hollow, people are starting to fall apart. The worst is coming out in people, yet Christ is transforming the hearts of those who love Him. They learn that with great blessing comes great responsibility.
I am truly enjoying this series and think frequently about how our own world, and my own life, might be affected by such a catastrophe. The characters are well-fleshed out and very compelling. | As evidenced in the first two novels of the Restoration Series, Blackstock continues her 'grab you' style of writing. I couldn't wait to get to the last novel of this series! Now I am already in my third book of her 'Second Chances' series, and enjoying every bit of it. She completes one life story and continues with another familiar character in the next books. | This was the third book to the series and I just couldn't wait to start and finish reading just so that I could read the fourth book. The characters were so much like us today and it tested your character as a Christian. I read some of the pages of the back, so i could see how it ended. However, it was so good that I couldn't wait to get to the part I read. Mark's faith really make you think about your actions and responses. I love the way Deni humbled herself for love.
