| I read this book in less than a week and was very astonished at it's simple yet profound instruction. The way Beth teaches is very encouraging yet honest,gentle on a person's heart/soul. I will purchase more of her books as her teaching is excellent. Her manner is humorous,engaging and she clearly identifies with one that has been in a pit with alot of compassion. This book makes me think of the psalmists' prayer...may Your lovingkindness and truth continually preserve me. Both of these qualities go hand in hand in her book. | Get out of the Pit, by Beth Moore is one of the best books I have ever read. I am depressed and have anxiety, and this lifted me out of the pit of these horrible diseases. I am using this book as a study guide for a depression support group. It hasn't started yet, but I will post the results online once we go through it. The book made me feel that I could get out of any pit I either got thrown in, put myself in and any other way of getting into the pit. It brought out the light and brought me out of the mirk and mere of a pit dweller.
